For a long time now Audi has been trying its hands on improving the specs of its RS4. 2018 Audi RS4 Avant finally reveals the changes and yet manages to go head on with its Mercedes and BMW rivals. Although this vehicle has only been spotted while it underwent final testing, it is expected to hit the markets by 2018, sources say.
As a deliberate attempt to take on BMW M3 series vehicles, the RS4 Avant is expected to install smaller yet powerful engine variants. However, this smaller engine aims to produce more power than the V8 although details are yet to be determined.
2018 Audi RS4 Avant Powertrain
As is mentioned, the base model RS4 comes with 2.9 L V8, the same engine that the previous year’s Porsche Panamera came with. This is designed to make more than 450 HP, a tad better than the aspirated V8. Borrowing its powertrain architecture from Quattro, 2018 Audi RS4 Avant comes with AWD facility.

2018 Audi RS4 Avant aims to take on with most of the fast vehicle sin this category belonging to exotic stables. This means that potential customers will have to spend more. Although not yet confirmed by Audi, the base model Audi RS4 Avant 2018 can be expected to be available at $68,500.
