Ford Motor Company is starting to sell the sixth generation Mustang model, in the autumn of 2017. This news is not so spectacular, because it’s been known for a long time. However, the company has announced that it will offer 2018 Ford Mustang Pony Package version. This news was greeted by true enthusiasts in this model. Otherwise, this version is intended for true enthusiasts.
In addition to getting a version with the Pony Package, Ford also released some details about a new generation of models that were unknown. First of all, this refers to vehicle performance data. The cheese public has been denied access to this data until now. Well, let’s start in line.
New Mustang Specs
The promotion of the new, upgraded Mustang was held at the beginning of 2017. The new model differs, from the current, to the exterior details of the outer appearance. The 2018 Mustang gets a new front-end design, a front bumper with different air intakes, and a new front grille. The new grille is somewhat cheaper than the current model. Also, there is an improved look of the hood, as well as a new design of the rear light group. For the 2018 Mustang GT, Ford has prepared a new look of the rear diffuser and rear spoiler. They are now in black.
In no way should we forget to emphasize the improvement through which the reliance and management has passed. And the interior of the vehicle gets promotions. Higher quality materials, as well as an optional digital instrument panel with a 12-inch display. The standard equipment list also contains many security systems. They offer 6-speed manual transmission and 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2018 Mustang GT, with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, develops 460 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds. The four-cylinder 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine develops 310 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. This engine will also be found in the 2018 Ford Mustang Pony Package version. With this engine, acceleration from 0 to 60 mph lasts 5 seconds.
In the end, the fact that the GT version will come with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, which comes with the optional Performance package.
2018 Ford Mustang Pony Package Features
Of the other versions of the model, the Pony Package version differs according to its ‘retro’ details. There is a ‘Pony’ logo with a chrome-plated coral on the front grille. Additionally, this package includes 19 inch alloy wheels, side panels, and chrome glass frames. In the end, there is a ‘Pony’ logo on the back of the vehicle, and the same logo is found on the floorboards in the interior of the vehicle.
The new Mustang will be available in the autumn of 2017, on the US market. 2018 Mustang Pony Package starts selling in October of the same year. For now, it’s not known at what price this version will be available.
