For the last three decades, Infiniti has proved that ambition and innovation are two most vital elements of a successful automaker. This process started with the release of the Q50 in 2013 and took the form of a concept car in 2014 named as Q100. Three years down the line, their innovation is looking to take shape with the new 2018 Infiniti Q100.
As per the words of Infiniti president Johan de Nysschen, the company will abandon its V8 engine for all future models. This slight hint has sparked rumors of a possible V10 or a twin-turbocharged V6 to make its way under the hood. In addition to this, spies claim that Infiniti Q100 2018 will likely be a hybrid. At least, it is 2014 concept has hinted towards that direction.
When combined with the gasoline unit, power outputs of more than 600 HP will not be a surprising figure. Although speculations say that it will lock horns directly with the Nissan GTR owing to its power capacity, Infinity has not confirmed or denied anything yet. Expect its top speed to reach the 200 mph mark with minimal efforts.
2018 Infiniti Q100 Design
When talking of exteriors, the classic Aston Martin DB6 might ignite a thought. Its overall design can be classified as wavy. With triangular LED headlights adorning the front of the car, that horizontal chrome grille design houses the company logo perfectly at its center. 2018 Infiniti Q100 has gone for a pair of concealing headlight system. It is complimented by a smooth oval shaped air intake that gives the car an aggressive look.
Infiniti has opted for sleek ergonomics by lowering the center of gravity of the car. This will not only provide better aerodynamics but also increase fuel efficiency by a considerable amount. What stands out in the concept are its 20-inch carbon fiber wheels. The spokes use chrome inserts that give Infiniti Q100 2018 that classy finish.
As per shots of its interiors, Q100 will sport a D-shaped steering wheel. This increases leg room for the driver and provides better maneuverability in tight corners. The steering wheel and seats will be leather upholstered, and as Infiniti claims, the infotainment and instrument cluster will be incorporated into a single screen. Other notable features of the Infiniti Q100 include a panoramic view thanks to its thin bezel window design and a comparatively large sunroof.
