The current iteration of the Lincoln MKX made its debut for the 2016 MY as a thoroughly overhauled model. It arrived as the first Lincoln to be offered outside North America. Although it shares its platform and mechanics with the Ford Edge, the MKX offers a more stylish sheet metal and a longer list of advanced technological amenities. Just like its predecessor, the 2018 Lincoln MKX will be offered with a choice of two gasoline powertrains. The naturally-aspirated 3.7-liter V6 delivers 303 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. The second one will be the twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 gives 335hp and 380lb-ft. Both engines come paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel drive (AWD).
2018 Lincoln MKX Pricing and Competition
The 2018 MKX price is not expected to stray far from the current one that starts just under $40,000. Some of the most prominent competitors to the upcoming MKX include the Lexus RX, Acura RDX, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and Cadillac SRX.
