In the first generation of production starting 2006, the Qashqai was known as Nissan Dualis making its entry in Japan and Australia. The US consumers drive it in the form of Nissan Rogue Sport. The present day Qashqai was born after a facelift in 2013. The 2018 Nissan Qashqai will be produced with some smart redesigns. Nissan’s facility in Sunderland, UK is set to start manufacturing this year.

Nissan’s most popular vehicle Qashqai gets some smart redesign touches on the body as well as interiors to enhance its trendy looks. The 2018 Nissan Qashqai will run on 1.6 L turbo or 2.0 L turbo gasoline engine capable of generating 161 HP power and 177 lb-ft torque. A speed manual or automatic transmission will control the fuel injection. Another option of a 1.6 turbocharged 4 cylinder diesel engine might also be added. The diesel version will provide 129 HP power and 236 lb-ft of torque. The SUV will have options for both front wheel drive and all wheel drive.
Launch Date and Pricing
Early 2018 launch has been predicted for this new upcoming Qashqai. Base pricing would be around $ 20,000 while higher trims will be priced at $30,000. Top rivals: 2017 Hyundai Tucson, Suzuki Vitara, Kia Sportage, Volkswagen Tiguan.
