Toyota has recently added a new MPV model to its lineup. Namely, the all-new Proace Verso made its debut at the 2016 Geneva motor show. Apart from several visual details, the van actually shares most of its features with the Citroen Spacetourer and Peugeot Traveller. Able to accommodate up to nine passengers, the Proace Verso is currently one of the most appealing people carriers. As for the 2018 model, expect it to offer minor enhancements in the form of additional standard equipment. According to some sources, the 2018 Toyota Proace Verso could hit the market by mid-2017.
2018 Toyota Proace Design and Features
The 2018 Toyota Proace Verso will be available in three body lengths ranging from 4.6 m to 5.3 m. Its three rows of seats will offer ample amounts of space capable of carrying up to nine adult people. There will also be three seating configurations to choose from: Shuttle, Family and VIP. The Shuttle offers high-quality fabric upholstery as well as 8- and 9-passenger versions. Those who opt for the Family grade can expect more space and modularity suitable for leisure users. This version can accommodate up to eight passengers, with the second row fitted with airplane-style tables. The Toyota Proace Verso VIP variant, will be aimed primarily at executive transport. Expect it to feature a foldable table on rails positioned between the rear two rows. It will be available in 6- and 7-passenger configurations.
Engine Range and Safety Equipment
When it comes to engine options, expect the 2018 Toyota Proace Verso to offer five diesel units. Their power will range between 93 hp and 177 hp, with three available transmissions including manual, robotized manual and automatic. Although the base Proace Verso doesn’t come cheap, it offers an impressive list of standard safety equipment. It boasts the Safety Sense array of systems with a large number of features. To name just a few, expect it to include Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Alert, Autonomous Emergency Braking, etc. It also comprises an Automatic High Beam system as well as Adaptive Front Lighting.
2018 Toyota Proace Verso Pricing
As far as the 2018 Toyota Proace Verso price tag is concerned, we don’t expect dramatic changes. The model sold on the UK market currently starts just under £30,000. One of its key rivals will come in the form of the Volkswagen Caravelle.
