The new 2021 Honda Pilot is on the way. The Japanese company is ready to open the next chapter for its flagship SUV. The third generation was launched in 2016 and it immediately made a strong impact. Also, the Pilot had two facelifts already.
But, the hybrid model is missing and the company is going to redesign the next vehicle to make it capable take this system under the hood. Of course, there will be a few cosmetic touches that will make the SUV attractive again.
2021 Honda Pilot Changes
The level of updates on the new 2021 Honda Pilot is significant. The SUV is getting a fresh grille, which is not radically different than the current one. Also, the new set of wheels are there, and designers could change the tail of the mid-size SUV to make it different from its newest sibling, Passport.
Inside the cabin, we will see even more changes. The Japanese company is keeping the three-row layout, but the new version could cut one seating spot, making the 2021 Honda Pilot only a seven-seater. But, it is more likely that three rows will take up to eight passengers, while the upper trim levels can offer captain’s chairs in the middle row, 7 Seater SUVs reported.
2021 Honda Pilot Hybrid Engine
We can’t wait to see this model out. The most recent rumors are confirming the 2021 Honda Pilot PHEV is on the way. There are some spy photos available, but we can’t claim if the vehicle on photos is Pilot. Still, the SUV will need to get into this race, since the Toyota Highlander is not the only mid-size three-row hybrid anymore. For 2020 season Ford launched an all-new Explorer PHEV.
Release Date and Price
The release date of the 2021 Honda Pilot will depend on the new hybrid engine. If the company manages to prepare everything in the next couple of months, we could see the debut already in mid-2020. Still, the sales will start later and the PHEV version will have a new price tag. The entry-level version starts at $33,000.
