Polestar 1 Debut and Review

The Polestar 1 is a plug-in hybrid sports coupe with a range of 150 kilometers (93 miles) using only electric power. This is the first model of the Polestar brand, which in this way represents the audience, since it has separated from the Volvo brand. Polestar 1 is  not completely independent of the Volvo company. Soon will appear the second and third model. Polestar is now the Volvo’s New Performance Electric Brand.

2019 Polestar 1 is new Volvo GT

Polestar 1 had its official promotion on October 17 in Shanghai. With this specification, it was declared a vehicle with the longest electric range among hybrid cars. New Polestar brand will not only keep on this one model.

The first in a series of models, the beautiful GT with amazing technology, is based on the 2013 Volvo Coupe Concept. It is mounted on the S90/V90/XC90 models. The new Grand Tourer model is definitely well on the market. The drive unit provides a special note to it. The model has been announced with a short video that includes three short but very effective messages, “no illusions”, “no shortcuts” and “no compromises”.

Polestar 1 Specs and Expectations

The Polestar company announced its No1 model with hybrid drive based on that of the Volvo XC90 T8. It’s a 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine. This engine has a power of 324 hp and an electric motor upgraded beyond its 81 hp. Polestar 1 will get an improved and improved version of this engine. It is expected to have a power of almost 600 hp. The 2013 Volvo Concept Coupe also had a plug-in hybrid drive. He was introduced with 395 hp and 442 lb ft of torque.

Next up for the brand is the Polestar 2. This model is expected to begin in 2019, and it will be a direct competitor to Tesla’s Model 3. The Polestar 2 will be a mid-sized BEV.
